I’m Kimberly the puppy-loving, coffee-guzzling Owner and Principal Designer of White Peony Design.
Every day I’m lucky to be able to help real families create a home that is not only the envy of the neighborhood but is also oh-so-tough that it stands up to the craziness of their busy lives.
I know only too well the feeling that you’ll never be able to have anything nice until your nest is empty. I mean my kid is perpetually sticky (how is that even possible?), my dog sheds dirt everywhere she sprawls, and my husband…well…let’s just say his best quality is not his ability to wipe up (or even see) crumbs.
So yes, I get you, my friend.
But please trust me when I say that beauty and strength can coexist in design. It just takes using the right materials in the right places, choosing quality over quantity, and taking into account the thousands of little details that make or break any space…easy peasy!
I promise you that before those little hatchlings fly away you WILL be living in a home that functions perfectly to support your active family life, and at the end of a long crazy day still looks as good as if you live in a magazine.

Because I don’t, and couldn’t, do this alone.

From my trusted Contractors and Trades who supply the construction skill and muscle brawn, all the way through to the amazing cleaners who tame all the chaos left behind from install day, allowing you to simply walk in, kick your shoes off, and get down to some serious family memory-making.
We are all here to serve you, to guide you, and to help you achieve the design results you and your family so deserve.

Guess what?
I didn’t always have this business and career path. My first love was science (I think that’s what helped develop my crazy attention to detail). Yup, I was that little redhead in the glasses and sweater vest rocking the science fair circuit! Nerds will rule the world, right? But I was never truly fulfilled in my science career.
I am so happy that I took the risk and made a career jump from playing with chemicals to playing with fabric. White Peony Design not only gives me the creative outlet I was craving, but it also allows me to inspire, empower, and change the lives of my clients when I deliver them a family-friendly home where they can live their authentic lives without restriction.
My energetic teen and rambunctious puppy challenge me every day to figure out creative ways to live beautifully in a home that never stops.
